![]() So it seems silly, but yeah, getting into your bindings is something that just needs a bit of practice. The specified profiles are: Epoch: 99/68/84 (27.7m 185cm 161cm eff) 98: 98/69/88 (29.9m 189cm 169cm eff) My eye isnt so good at distinguishing a 1mm difference in width, but 4mm is. First off are the profiles, similar but the Fischer is noticeably wider in the tail. It's pretty common to struggle with bindings at first, but every time you do it, you'll get a little better feel for it and it will be a little easier, until you develop that instinctual muscle memory and won't even have to think about it anymore. They are remarkably similar but there are some major differences. If it's an automatic, step-in binding, there still may be some resistance as you stepping in, which can make it feel like you're in the wrong spot even if you're not (see point 2). Is the binding open? The Fischer Traverse 78 Crown Xtralite are lightweight skis for Nordic ski touring. Is there any compacted snow stuck in the binding or the outsole of the boot (especially around the pin)? Both sides of the interface have to be clear.
